NIA Raids In 7 States Including Delhi-UP And Maharashtra

NIA raids in 7 states including Delhi-UP and Maharashtra, with more than 100 members of PFI in custody.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is again raiding the premises of the Popular Front of India (PFI) in connection with terror funding.

The NIA team has been conducting raids in many states since Tuesday morning. Around 100 people have been detained during the raids.

Also, some people have been arrested. The states where the raids are being conducted include UP, Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam.

Around 100 people are in custody.

A large number of PFI members have been detained in Karnataka.

Police officer Alok Kumar said that more than 75 members of PFI and SDPI have been taken into custody as a precautionary measure. It also includes the district head of SDPI.

Two members were arrested in Maharashtra.

In many parts of Maharashtra, the ATS and the local police are running the operation together. Nashik Police has arrested 2 members of PFI. Police said that the accused will be produced in court.

NIA and ATS have raided 7 places including Indore, Ujjain, and Shajapur in the state. It is being told that raids are being conducted here since three o’clock at night.

In the city, raids were conducted on PFI secretary Yousuf and district committee member Saeed Taylor. Of these, ATS has taken Taylor into custody.

Four members were detained from Assam.

Assam ADGP (Special Branch) Hiren Nath said that four members of PFI have been detained from the Nagarbera area. He said that operation against PFI is going on at many places in the district.

Raids in UP.

NIA team has also raided some areas of UP. NIA has raided Bulandshahr and Meerut. According to NIA sources, several PFI members have been detained in UP as well.

On September 22, raids were conducted in 15 states.

Earlier, on September 22, the NIA, along with the ED and other agencies, had raided 93 locations of PFI in 15 states.

In the raid, 106 members including PFI President OMA Salman, P Koya, E Abubakar, Ilamram, and CP Mohammad Baseer were arrested.

During this, important documents related to terrorist activities and funding were also recovered.

Accused of giving terrorist training to youth.

A senior NIA officer had told that some documents have also been found during the raid.

This shows that PFI is involved in terrorist activities in the country, giving terrorist training to youth, instigating riots, and killing innocent people, as well as teaching the youth a lesson of bigotry to join the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS).
