NIA presents charge sheet in Antilia and Mansukh Hiran cases: Antilia And Hiran Case.

The NIA, which is probing the case of finding an explosive-laden Scorpio car near the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

Agency has presented the chargesheet in this case and the Mansukh Hiren murder case related to it in a special NIA court.

The chargesheet names 10 people including former Mumbai Police encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma and sacked API Sachin Waze.

If the charges leveled by the NIA against these accused are proved, then they can be punished with life imprisonment to the death penalty.

The NIA has said in its chargesheet that during the investigation of both the above cases, it has found evidence of the involvement of these ten accused.

The NIA has mentioned a total of three FIRs registered by the Mumbai and Thane police.

Of these, the FIR number 35/2021 registered on February 25 was registered at Gaondevi police station in connection with the parking of a Scorpio car containing 20 gelatin sticks on Carmichael Road near Mukesh Ambani’s house.

The second FIR number 47/2021 was registered by Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiren in connection with the theft of a Scorpio car at Vikhroli police station in Mumbai.

The third FIR was written as Accidental Death Report (ADR) number 39/2021 after the body of Mansukh Hiren was found in a sea bay at Mumbra Police Thane in Thane.

The NIA has booked the ten accused under IPC sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 201, 286, 302 (murder), 364, 386, 403, 419, 465, 471, 473, 506, and sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act, Explosive Elements Act.

Chargesheet has been prepared under Section 4 of the IPC, and Section 18 and 20 of UAPA.

The accused include former Mumbai Police Encounter Specialist Inspector Pradeep Sharma, sacked API Sachin Waze, besides Inspector Riazuddin Kazhi.

Inspector Sunil Mane, Santosh Shelar, Anand Pandurang Jadhav, Satish Mothkuri alias Tanni alias Vicky Baba and Manish Vasantbhai Soni.

It is worth noting that on the intervening night of 24-25 February this year, an abandoned Scorpio car with gelatin sticks was found parked near the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

Initially, the investigation of this case was started by Mumbai Police and the responsibility of investigation was entrusted to API Sachin Waze.

He was heading the Crime Intelligence Unit at that time, but only a few days later the NIA started an investigation on the orders of the Union Home Ministry.

NIA presents charge sheet: When the NIA started investigating this case, it first took Sachin Waze into custody.

As the NIA’s investigation progressed, it also had to take over the investigation of the murder of Mansukh Hiren, the alleged owner of the Scorpio car.

Till then the Thane ATS team probing the case had identified Sachin Wajhe as the main conspirator in the case.

Based on the lengthy interrogation of Wajhe, the NIA along with other accused arrested former encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma.
