NIA Court Directs Framing Of Charges Against Yasin Malik

NIA court directs framing of charges against Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah, Masrat Alam, Salahuddin, Hafiz.

The court has ordered to frame charges against Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed and Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin, Yasin Malik, Shabbir Shah, Masrat Alam.

Also, against others in a case of disturbing the state of Jammu and Kashmir and terrorist and separatist activities.

It has ordered framing of charges against others under various sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

The court also ordered framing of charges against Kashmiri politician and former MLA Engineer Rashid.

Businessman Zahoor Ahmed Shah Watali, Bitta Karate, Aftab Ahmed Shah, Avtar Ahmed Shah, Naeem Khan, Bashir Ahmed Bhat, alias Peer Saifullah, and many others.

NIA court directs framing of charges: These sections include criminal conspiracy, waging war against the country, unlawful activities, etc.

In an order passed on March 16, Special Judge Praveen Singh of the NIA said that the statements of witnesses and documentary evidence of almost all the accused have been linked to each other.

Together and connected with a common purpose of separation.

All were intended to exercise links with terrorist and terrorist organizations under the guidance and funding of Pakistan.

During the arguments, none of the accused argued that they personally have no separatist ideology or agenda or they haven’t worked for separation.

They also did not say that they did not advocate for the separation of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir from India.

Witness after witness testified that after the split of the All Party Hurriyat Conference, its faction and the JLL had only one objective to separate Jammu and Kashmir from India.

Witnesses have linked the accused Shabir Shah, Yasin Malik, Zahur Ahmed Shah Batali, Naeem Khan, and Bitta Karate to All Party Hurriyat Conference and JRL.

Other witnesses linked Engineer Rasheed to Zahoor Ahmad Shah Batali with the All Party Hurriyat Conference and agencies of Pakistan.

However, the court has made it clear that whatever has been said in this order is still prima facie. The witnesses are yet to be examined in detail.

Funds for terrorists were sent to Pakistan and its agencies. Sometimes diplomatic missions were also used to carry out nefarious designs. Hafiz also used to send money for terrorist activities.
