NHRC Sent Notices To Delhi, UP, And Haryana: Farmers agitation

NHRC sent notices to Delhi, UP, and Haryana on the performance of farmers, know what is the matter.

Due to the ongoing agitation of the farmers against the three agriculture laws of the central government, people are facing a lot of trouble.

Farmers are camping on the main roads, due to which people are facing traffic jams for hours.

The National Human Rights Commission has issued notices to the governments of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan seeking a report on the farmers’ protests over the problems being faced by the farmers.

In this, the problems being faced by the people due to the disruption of traffic due to the protest have been mentioned.

The Commission has issued notices to the Chief Secretaries of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan, and the Delhi Government and called upon them to submit an action taken report.

Apart from this, notices have also been issued to the Director Generals of Police of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and the Commissioner of Police of the capital Delhi.

Due to the farmers’ agitation, people have to travel long distances to reach their destinations, the statement said. Along with this, barricades are put up on the borders.

The NHRC said it has received several complaints regarding farmers’ performance. NHRC said in a statement that industrial units have been adversely affected.

NHRC sent notices to Delhi, UP, and Haryana: There are allegations of serious influence over 9000 micro, medium and large companies.

It further added that the transport has also been adversely affected due to which commuters, patients, differently-abled people, and senior citizens are suffering due to heavy congestion on the roads.

It further stated that the agitating farmers at the protest site have violated the coronavirus protocol and residents are not being allowed to step out of their homes due to the blockade of roads.

The NHRC said that the National Disaster Management Authority, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Health have been asked to submit reports on various aspects regarding the adverse impact of farmers’ agitation and adherence to the Corona protocol at protest sites.

Let us tell that thousands of farmers have been protesting against the three agricultural laws on the borders of Delhi for nine months.

Most of these farmers are mainly from Punjab and Haryana. The farmers are demanding the withdrawal of all three laws.

It is worth mentioning that ten rounds of talks have been held between the farmers and the government but it was in vain.
