New Zealand PM Said – 7 People Were Injured In Terrorist Attack

New Zealand PM said – 7 people were injured in the terrorist attack in Auckland, three are in critical condition.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Saturday that a total of seven people were injured, three of them in critical condition, in the terrorist attack in the city of Auckland.

Let us tell you that on Friday, a man attacked several people with a knife at a supermarket in Auckland, which Ardern called a terrorist attack.

“We now know that a total of seven people were injured yesterday,” Ardern told a TVNZ news outlet press conference. Five people are hospitalized, three are in critical condition.

Please tell that the attacker was killed by the police squad at the site of the attack itself. The attacker had arrived in New Zealand from Sri Lanka in 2011 and according to the police acted on his extremist views.

New Zealand PM Ardern had said on the previous day that the attacker had links with the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS).

The national security agencies were aware of him and were keeping a close watch on him, but being bound by the law, he could not be put in jail then.

It was told that the attack took place at 2.40 pm in Supermarket Countdown, New Zealand’s largest city of Auckland.

However, the reason behind the attack is not yet clear. A similar incident took place in Dunedin, New Zealand in March 2019, when a supermarket was attacked.

During this, the attacker had injured four people inside the supermarket with a knife.
