Narada Sting Operation Case: CBI arrested four senior leaders including two Bengal ministers in the Narada case.
In the Narada sting operation case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested four leaders, including two ministers of the Mamata government, on Monday morning.
These include ministers Subrata Mukherjee, Firhad Hakim, and MLAs Shobhan Dev Chattopadhyay, Madan Mitra.
It is believed that the CBI will present them in court today and will file a charge sheet against them today. The four leaders are close to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
On Monday morning, the CBI team went to the house of these leaders. CBI was accompanied by Central Force personnel and these people have been brought to the Nizam Palace by CBI officials.
Sources in the investigating agency have said that the Governor’s permission was required to take action against them and Governor Jagdeep Dhankar has already given permission for this. Therefore, the permission of the Speaker is not required.
Sting took place before assembly elections in 2016, leaders were seen taking bribe.

In this, several big leaders of the ruling party TMC were seen in front of the camera taking a bribe and assuring a fake company to help in the business.
These leaders were included in this. In the video that was revealed in the sting operation conducted by Matthew Samuel, the CEO of Narada News Portal, who became the CEO of a fake company, these leaders were shown taking bribes.
CBI has been investigating for five years.
The CBI had been investigating the case for the last five years but till now no major arrests were made except former IPS officer SMH Mirza. CBI will also file a charge sheet against Mirza today.
Apart from this, many big leaders of the erstwhile Trinamool were stranded in this sting operation, including Mukul Roy and Suvendu Adhikari, who are currently BJP leaders.
Suvendu Adhikari is the Leader of Opposition in the state assembly. On this, the Trinamool Congress continuously accuses that the CBI does not take any action against the leaders who have gone to the BJP in this matter.
