Myanmar Coup: Chinese View Is Different From The World

Myanmar coup: Why the Chinese voice in the Myanmar coup is different from the world, why did the dragon support the constitution there.

Regarding the coup incident in Myanmar, China has once shown that it has absolutely no faith in democracy or democratic values. This can be gauged from how he has reacted in this matter, unlike the whole world.

In Myanmar, many democratic countries including the United Nations and the United States have spoken of the restoration of democracy.

All the countries condemned the Myanmar army in harsh terms, while China has gone through the entire issue citing the constitution of Myanmar.

The question is why did China mention the constitution of Myanmar. What is there in the constitution of Myanmar which is not acceptable to the democratic government there, but China is supporting it.

Constitution of the army on the elected government in Myanmar.

Pro. Harsh Pant says that in fact, Myanmar has been in control of the army for a long time. Aung Sang Soo’s party National League for Democracy won heavily in the 2015 elections in Myanmar.

In this way, an elected government came into power after the military rule in Myanmar, but the irony was that it was to rule under the constitution created by the elected army.

This constitution was imposed by the army. When the elected government in Myanmar began preparations to change the constitution imposed by the army, this thing went unnoticed.

This move of Aung Song’s government was seen against the army. Tensions between the army and Aung Song’s government increased.

Why did the army take this initiative of Aung Song

Prof. Pant says that under the Constitution of 2008, the army has control over all the ministries related to security. Under the current constitution, a quarter of the seats of Parliament are also reserved for the army.

As such, no amendment by the Myanmar government is in favor of the military. Not only this, the army has the right to veto any change in the constitution. He says that the ruling government is behind the elected government in Myanmar.

Here the hands of democratic government are tied. This is why Aung Song’s party promised to change the disputed document. In this sequence, the proposal to form a committee was made in Parliament, which was passed by an overwhelming majority.

After this, the army began to fear that the power would end their control. In such a situation, the army took this step to end this practice of Aung Song.

Myanmar coup is being opposed

The United Nations called for the release of political prisoners in Myanmar and the restoration of democracy from Australia, the European Union, India, Japan, and the United States.

However, China is not involved in this protest. China has mentioned this incident by saying that all parties should respect the Constitution. Neighboring Thailand refused to comment on Myanmar’s internal affairs.

Explain that the Myanmar army has taken the power of the country into its own hands. The army has detained several leaders, including Aung Sang Suu Kyi.

Along with this, soldiers have been deployed on the streets of many cities of the country. The communication system is limited. In 2011, after five decades, the repressive military rule came to an end.

In 2015, Aung Sang Suu Kyi’s National Lean for Democracy NLD party led the country after a fair vote. The party was to begin its second term on 1 February, but hours before the first session of Parliament, several politicians including Aung Song were arrested.
