Mukul Roy And His Son Shubhranshu Join Trinamool

Mukul Roy and his son Shubhranshu join Trinamool, Big blow to BJP: Bengal Politics.

After the assembly elections in Bengal, the BJP suffered a major setback on Friday. Mukul Roy, BJP’s big leader and national vice president in the state, left the BJP and joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

In the presence of the Chief Minister and Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee, he joined the party at Trinamool Bhavan in Kolkata.

Mamta welcomed him by giving the party flag. Along with Mukul, his son and former MLA Shubhranshu Roy also joined the Trinamool.

In fact, since the election results, there was constant speculation about Mukul and his son returning home to Trinamool.

Both of them were keeping their distance from BJP for some time. Finally, putting an end to all the speculations, he returned to the Trinamool.

Significantly, Mukul has been one of the founding members of the Trinamool Congress. Mukul was once considered the most important of Mamata Banerjee.

However, after differences, he resigned from Trinamool in September 2017 and took up the BJP flag in November 2017.

Mukul was also fielded by BJP in the assembly elections this time from Krishnanagar North assembly seat of Nadia and he also won. However, his son Shubhranshu lost the election from Bijapur this time.

Had a meeting with Mamta before joining TMC, Abhishek was also present.

Here, before joining Trinamool, there was a long meeting between Mukul and Mamta Banerjee at Trinamool Bhavan in the afternoon.

In this meeting, the nephew of Mamta Banerjee, MP, and recently appointed National General Secretary of the party, Abhishek Banerjee will also be present.

It is worth noting that at this time there are many such leaders in BJP, who are preparing to return to TMC.

Left BJP because of this reason.

Sources say that the stature of Suvendu Adhikari is increasing continuously in the Bengal BJP. He has also been made the Leader of the Opposition.

In such a situation, the restlessness of Mukul Roy was increasing, due to which he decided to return to his old party.

TMC leader gave indications.

It is worth noting that recently senior TMC leader and MP Saugata Roy had given indications about Mukul’s return home.

He had said, ‘There are many people who are in touch with Abhishek Banerjee and want to come back. I think those returning from the party can be divided into two categories.

These are softliners and hardliners. Soft liners are those who left the party but never insulted Mamata Banerjee.

Hardliners are those who publicly made statements about Mamata Banerjee. The important thing is that Mukul Roy did not make any personal allegations against Mamta Banerjee. As such, they are considered soft liners.
