More Than 25 Accused Detained In Koppal Violence: Karnataka

More than 25 accused were detained in Koppal violence, and two people died in clashes: Karnataka.

The police have taken more than 25 people into custody in connection with the violent clashes at Hulihaidar in the Koppal district of Karnataka.

The SP of Koppal has given this information. He said that as a precautionary measure, a police force has been deployed in the village. Apart from this, Section 144 has been imposed for a week.

It is noteworthy that recently an inter-religious marriage took place in Hulihaidar village on Thursday.

There was a dispute between the two parties regarding inter-religious marriage. After the dispute, a violent clash broke out between the two sides.

Two people were killed while 6 were injured in the clash. The deceased have been identified as Pashavali Mohammed Saba (27) and Yankappa Shamappa Talwara (44), both residents of Hulihaidar village.

Police said that the deceased Pashawali Mohammad Saba had married a girl from the Talwar community.

The people of the Talwar community were angry about this and the situation in the village was tense.

Pashavali Mohammed Saba had gone to pluck flowers in his street when Yankappa saw the opportunity and attacked him. Pashavali died in the attack.

The situation worsened after Pashavaliโ€™s murder. The two factions clashed. A heavy police force has been deployed in the area in view of the tense situation.

Also, the local administration has imposed Section 144 in the area and further investigation is on.

The nursery student was punished unfairly, High Court rejected the teacherโ€™s petition; refused to close the case.

The Karnataka High Court has refused to quash the case registered against a woman teacher under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Offenses Act).

In fact, during the class, the teacher took off the pants of a 5-year-old girl. A division bench headed by Justice M Nagaprasanna gave the order on Thursday.

The teacher had filed a petition in the court, there was a demand to cancel the case.

According to the police, the 41-year-old accused woman teacher worked in a private school. He filed an appeal before the Karnataka High Court. It sought quashing of the case.

The Halasuru Police in Bengaluru is probing the matter on the basis of a complaint lodged by the childโ€™s parents.
