More Than 150 Children Admitted To KIMS In Karnataka

More than 150 children admitted to KIMS in Karnataka in the last 15 days, all have symptoms of pneumonia.

The worrying news is coming out of Karnataka amid the threat of the third wave of the corona epidemic.

Over 150 children were admitted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in the state’s Hubballi in the last 15 days.

According to the information, these children have symptoms of pneumonia.

Vinod Rattageri, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, KIMS has informed that 7 patients have died. The respiratory sensitive virus has been confirmed in some patients.

Meanwhile, the State Health Department informed on Sunday that 775 new cases of corona infection have been reported in Karnataka and 9 people have died.

With this, the total number of cases in the state has gone up to 29.73 lakh. The death toll has gone up to 37 thousand 726.

860 patients were also discharged during the day. With this, the total number of patients who have been cured of the infection in the state so far has gone up to 29 lakh 22 thousand 427.

According to the Health Department, out of 775 new cases reported on Sunday, 255 were reported in Bengaluru Urban.

At the same time, 205 patients were discharged from here and 3 people died. The total number of active cases in the state is 13 thousand 213.

The day’s positivity rate was 0.54 percent and the mortality rate (CFR) was 1.16 percent.

Out of 9 deaths on Sunday, apart from 3 Bengaluru Urban, one patient each died in Belagavi, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Kodagu, Mysore, and Shivamogga.

The Health Department informed that during the last 24 hours, 255 cases have been reported in Bengaluru Urban, 99 in Dakshina Kannada, 81 in Mysuru, 55 in Kodagu, 52 in Chikkamagaluru.

A total of 12 lakh 45 thousand 490 positive cases have been reported in Bangalore Urban. After this, one lakh 77 thousand 769 cases have been reported in Mysuru and one lakh 20 thousand 098 in Tumakuru.
