Monsoon Session In UP Amidst Corona Crisis

Monsoon session in UP amidst Corona crisis, proceedings postponed after condolences. Uttar Pradesh is going to set a new record in the increasing prevalence of global epidemic corona infection. Apart from conducting the highest number of COVID tests in a single day in the country.

Uttar Pradesh, which is making the record for the most COVID beds, is also going to organize a session of the state legislature under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. The monsoon session will be for only four days and 16 bills will also be passed in it. Under the Kovid protocol, older legislators will participate in it virtually.

On the first day of the monsoon session of the Legislature, on Thursday, the Legislative Council paid tribute to the three former members of the House and two ministers of the government who lost their lives to the Corona transition. Chairman Ramesh Yadav informed the demise of three former members of the House – Sunita Chauhan, Ramakrishna Dwivedi and Lal G. Tandon and Kamal Rani Varun and Chetan Chauhan, who were members of the state cabinet.

Leader of the House Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Ramasundar Das Nishad of Samajwadi Party, Dinesh Chandra of BSP, Deepak Singh of Congress, Raj Bahadur Singh Chandel of Independent Group, Suresh Tripathi of Teachers Party and Laxman Prasad Acharya of BJP, towards late former members and ministers Shraddha Suman was offered on behalf of her parties.

The House also paid tribute to the brave soldiers who martyred in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh in the military conflict with China. Members stood and paid two minutes of silence and paid tribute to the deceased. After expressing condolences, the Speaker adjourned the house till 11 am on Friday.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also arrived at Vidhan Bhavan along with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna. The motion for death and condolences were expressed in the House today. MLAs over 65 years of age are participating in the monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha through video conferencing. BJP MLA from Noida Pankaj Singh, Bahraich MLA Anupama Jaiswal, and Janmejaya Singh participated online in the proceedings of the House.

Along with these, Minister Brajesh Pathak Virtual joined. Minister Mannu Lal Kori attended the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly sitting in the car. Samajwadi Party MLAs and members of the Legislative Council demonstrated against the anti-people policies of the BJP government near the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh in the Vidhan Bhavan premises. During this, all of them also shouted slogans by waving play cards.
