Since then, he has been the Chief Minister of the state for fourteen consecutive years and since then has been leading the government as Prime Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will enter his twentieth year on Wednesday as the head of government.

In fact, he is the first such politician who is going to complete the second decade while continuously being the Chief Minister of the state and Prime Minister of the country.

In Indian politics, there are many leaders who have been Chief Ministers or Prime Ministers for a long time, but on his own strength both at the state and the central level, he has come first in the leaders who have won the party on their own strength and have drawn the line of development through thinking.

It was on the basis of his leadership in Gujarat and his popularity across India that the Bharatiya Janata Party made him the prime ministerial candidate in 2013. After that, for the second time in a row, he led the BJP to a landslide victory at the Center.

An interesting fact about Modi is that he first became the Chief Minister of Gujarat as an MLA. Similarly, he became the Prime Minister of India directly for the first time as an MP.

Modi enters in the 20th year as head of government is credited for the BJP’s majority victory. Narendra Modi was first sworn in as Prime Minister of India on 26 May 2014.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the oath of Prime Minister again on 30 May 2019, after winning a big victory in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.

PM Modi’s oath-taking ceremony for the second time was quite grand, as this time around 8000 big personalities were present along with all the leaders of BIMSTEC countries. It included heads of states, chief ministers of states, governors, film stars, sportsmen and politicians.
