On October 9, Mehbooba Mufti was put under house arrest by the police while trying to go to Anantnag’s house of Parvez Ahmed, the youth who was killed while fleeing by breaking the CRPF block.

The gate was locked outside Mehbooba Mufti’s house on Gupkar Road in Srinagar. A police bunker mobile vehicle was also parked there so that no one could come and go there.

It may be mentioned here that Mehbooba Mufti along with other party leaders in Jammu this morning protested against the encounter killings of the helpers of terrorists in the Hyderpora area of Srinagar.

On Wednesday, there was a demonstration outside the PDP office in Gandhinagar, Jammu. Mehbooba and her workers were carrying banners in their hands.

Slogans were written on them asking for an inquiry into the deaths of the alleged civilians killed in the encounter and not punishing the people.

Mufti claimed that three civilians were killed in the encounter on Monday. Mehbooba Mufti said that the party strongly opposes this.
