Meeting will be held today to decide the name of the new CM of Karnataka. Dharmendra Pradhan and Kishan Reddy will hold meetings with MLAs.

After Yeddyurappa’s resignation from the post of Chief Minister in Karnataka, Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Dharmendra Pradhan will be sent for the purpose of electing a new leader there.

The meeting of party MLAs with these two is to be held on Monday at 5 pm. In this meeting, a new leader of the legislature party will be elected, who will be made the CM post.

Although there are many names in this race, even after this, there is no tussle in the party regarding this. Therefore, the party will easily solve this and soon a new name may be announced.

Some other names including Basanagouda Ramanagouda Patil Yatnal, Arvind Bellad, and Murugesh Nirani are also appearing in the race for the new CM.

State Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s name is also being taken in this race. It should be noted that BS Yeddyurappa comes from the Lingayat community of the state which is the largest community here.

This is the reason why this community plays a very important role in the assembly elections. It is noteworthy that on July 26, 2021, Yeddyurappa suddenly resigned from the post of CM.

Giving information about this, he also said that there was no pressure on him for this. Let us tell you that he has been the CM of the state four times.

For the time being, he will continue as caretaker CM till he takes over as the new CM. He resigned from the post after completing two years.

Yeddyurappa has said that he will work hard to bring the party back to power next time. He also said that he is grateful to PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for choosing him for the post.
