Madrasa teacher arrested for raping minor boy, case registered under POCSO Act.
A madrasa teacher arrested in Hyderabad has been arrested for raping a minor. The case is of the Santosh Nagar area of Hyderabad.
It is alleged that a madrasa teacher raped a minor boy. After which his family lodged a complaint against the teacher. After this, the police arrested the teacher.
Police arrested the accused and sent him on judicial remand.
According to the police, the 14-year-old minor was unnaturally raped by a 21-year-old teacher. After which a case was registered against the teacher and sent to judicial custody.
A higher official said that after the complaint was registered by the victim’s family, a case has been registered against the accused teacher under relevant sections of POCSO.
The accused has been arrested and sent to judicial remand.
Uttar Pradesh government also took a big decision.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government had announced on August 31 that it would conduct a survey of unrecognized madrassas to find out the students, teachers, curriculum, and affiliation with any non-government organization of these institutions.
Minister of State for Minority Affairs Danish Azad Ansari said that the survey will be conducted as per the requirement of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights regarding the availability of basic facilities to the students in madrasas.
Meanwhile, the government has also ordered a survey of unrecognized madrassas by October 5, teams consisting of officers of sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs), Basic Education Officers (BSA), and district minority officers.
