The Madras High Court in Tamil Nadu appeals to ministers, legislators, and officials not to create overcrowded hospitals in the name of oversight of the arrangements.

Also, to help the patients do not put a lot of unnecessary items on the hospital premises.

A bench of High Court Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Senthil Kumar Ramamurthy said, “When ministers and MLAs go to hospitals, their supporters also go there with them.

This leads to overcrowding and chaos in hospitals. During this, the prescribed protocol is not followed to protect against Covid. While everyone is responsible for following the protocol.

The bench has said that if ministers and MLAs go to the hospital, it is their responsibility to take the prescribed number of people with them. Everyone should cooperate in making arrangements.

The bench on Monday moved the hearing started due to lack of beds, ventilators, oxygen cylinders, vaccines, etc. in the hospitals of the state.

The bench was told that the second wave of corona in Tamil Nadu and neighboring Puducherry has calmed down to a great extent.

On this, the bench directed that the medical facilities developed during the second wave should be retained for the next few months so that there is no need to create panic again in the state if needed.

Earlier, the bench has passed several interim orders in connection with the rescue and treatment of Covid.
