Lok Sabha Elections 2024: How to win in eastern-northeastern states, BJP is busy brainstorming, these leaders will be involved.

Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 12 states of eastern and northeastern India are meeting in Guwahati today to chalk out a strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

At the meeting, BJP National Secretary General BL Santosh, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma, Tripura Minister Manik Saha, MPs and MPs from the party and State Unit Chairman, among others.

BJP unit chairman Assam Bhabesh Kalita said the party’s central committee meeting was held on Wednesday night to discuss issues to be brought up during the one-day regional committee meeting.

He said a detailed discussion had taken place on the impact of a month-long “PR Maha campaign” in June to mark the completion of Narendra Modi’s nine-year rule.

There are a total of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the eight Northeastern states, of which Assam has a maximum of 14. Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura each have two, while Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim each have one.

In the eastern states, West Bengal has 42 seats, Bihar 40 seats, Odisha 21 seats and Jharkhand 14 seats. Mizoram council elections to be held later this year are also expected to be discussed at the meeting.

The leaders of the northern, central and western states of the BJP will meet in New Delhi on July 7 and of the southern states in Hyderabad on July 8.
