Kerala: More Than 2.5 Thousand Cases In One Day

Kerala: more than 2.5 thousand cases in one day, most from Thiruvananthapuram. There have been more than two and a half thousand cases of corona infection in Kerala on Saturday. Most of the new cases are of local transmission while 287 cases could not be traced. Apart from this, about 2000 Corona infected has also been cured during this period.

State Health Minister KK Shailaja said that 2,885 new cases of infection have been reported in Kerala on Saturday, out of which 2,640 cases are of local transmission while in 287 cases the source of infection has not been detected. In addition, 42 have traveled from other countries and 45 health workers are also involved.

At the same time, the Health Minister also said that 15 people died on Saturday from the infection. Of the more than 2.5 thousand cases reported in the state, 566 cases were reported in Thiruvananthapur, 310 in Malappuram, 286 in Kozhikode, 265 in Kollam, 207 in Kannur, 188 in Ernakulam, 184 in Palakkad, 172 in Thrissur, 166 in Alappuzha. 163 cases have been reported in Kasargod, 150 in Pathanamthitta, 88 in Idukki and 54 in Wayanad.

So far, 75,848 people have been successful in beating the corona in the state, out of which 1,944 people have recovered and discharged from the hospital on Saturday. Apart from this, 28,802 patients are still undergoing treatment. At the same time, 2,03,300 people have been placed in observation in different districts, out of which 1,81,123 people are in homes or quarantine centers while 22,177 patients have been kept in hospitals in observation.

In addition, 2,576 infected people have been admitted to the hospital today. In the last 24 hours, 43,954 samples were tested. A total of 20,99,549 samples have been sent for testing so far. In addition, 19 new locations have been identified as hotspots today, while 10 have been removed from this category. There are currently 603 hotspots in Kerala.
