There is no hearing from the government to the issues of Kashmiri Pandits , who are on a gradual hunger strike in Jagati Colony, demanding an increase in monthly relief amount in Jagati for several days.

Flare-up they tried to block the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway after the protest, but the police did not let them do so.

The activists of the Jagati Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir came out of the Jagati Displaced Colony on Sunday as a rally and started towards the national highway.

Meanwhile, the police reached, so that they could not block the highway. In such a situation, the workers sat near the national highway and started shouting slogans against the central government.

He said that for 30 years, Kashmiri Pandits have been living the lives of the displaced, but the government is not increasing the relief amount. He said that at this time they get a monthly relief amount of Rs 13 thousand, due to which the family is not able to be maintained in this phase of inflation.

Kashmiri Pandits demanded the government to increase the relief amount to Rs 25 thousand. Raj Kumar, Kashinath Bhatt, Gurmeet Singh, Charanjit Singh, Vijay Hakku, Nath Bhatt, Ravindra Kaul, Shubham Krishna Raina, Ramesh Lal, Satish, etc. were present on the occasion.

The government should create a good environment for the return of the valley

The activists of Jagati Tenement Committee and Son Kashmir demanded from the Central Government that one member of every Kashmiri displaced family should be given a government job.

By getting a job, the path of these families will be easier. The Kashmiri Pandits also demanded from the Central Government to create a working environment for the return of the Kashmiri Pandits to the valley so that the process could be taken forward.
