Kamala Harris remembered her mother, said – She showed her way all her life. In a fundraising event, Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Indian-origin Kamala Harris told her mother as an inspiration.

Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris has called her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, a source of inspiration. Harris has said that her whole life mother Shyamala Gopalan showed her the way.

Kamala Harris said, ‘My mother always used to say,’ Don’t just sit and complain about the situation but do some work for it. ‘ Harris, 55, mentioned these things in a fundraising email taken to her supporters on Wednesday.

She wrote, ‘Her words have guided my life all my life and inspired me to work along with solving difficulties and fighting for solutions. Kamala Harris is the first black woman to get a vice-presidential ticket from a political party. The Indian-origin senator said it was not a difficult decision when Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden named him for the post of vice-president. Harris said, “I knew I had to do what my mother wanted from me.”

Harris mentioned her parents during a virtual fund razor event hosted by Indian American and ‘Top Chef’ host Padma Lakshmi and actor Cat Porter. According to him, his parents had also raised their voice for civil rights in Oakland. Harris also said that despite the busy schedule, on Sundays she takes time out to cook dinner for her family.

The senator described her mother’s cooking, saying she was a great cook. According to Politico, Harris is a very good cook and his recipes are in the cooking section of the New York Times.
