Kabul airport ready for international flights, air travel prices increased by 5 times. Afghanistan’s Kabul Airport is once again ready for international flights.

Afghanistan’s civil aviation body has said that all technical issues regarding international flights in recent days have been resolved.

According to Tolo News, the country’s civil aviation authority announced on Saturday that normal activities have resumed at Kabul Airport.

The airport has been made fully operational, all facilities are ready for international flights.

In recent times, the airport has received permission to operate flights to Qatar, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates.

Mohamed Naeem Salehi, the spokesman for the country’s civil aviation body.

He said the department has written to neighboring countries and the international community asking them to resume flights at the airport.

Tolo News quoted Salehi as saying, “Technically there is no further problem with international flights.

We are still waiting for the response of the neighboring countries on whether they will start flights to Kabul airport or not. At present, domestic flights are operating from the airport.

Meanwhile, some Afghans who have obtained visas from Iran and Pakistan have complained that ticket prices in Kabul have risen sharply recently.

Locals have complained that tickets are either not available and if available, the cost is too high.

Some operators of tourism companies have also said that the prices of air travel in Kabul have increased.

The head of the Federation of Afghanistan Tourism Companies, Masood Bina, said that the prices of international flights have increased.

Tickets to Pakistan used to cost US$150-200 and have now gone up to $1,200.

These include infantry weapons like M-16 rifles, M-4 carbines, 82 mm mortar launchers as well as military vehicles like Humvi, Black Hawk helicopters, A29 fighter aircraft, equipment used in night vision, communication, and surveillance.
