Following the Pahalgam terror assault, Jammu and Kashmir police raided thirteen locations in the Doda area. To destroy terrorist hideouts and take action against those engaged in terrorist operations, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted 13 raids in the Doda area on Monday morning.

This comes at a time when security concerns have increased after the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people, including a Nepali national, lost their lives, and many were injured.

Jammu and Kashmir Police Raid 13 Locations in Doda.: Srinagar Police had searched the houses of 63 suspects

To continue their investigation into the homes of Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of terrorist organizations that are prohibited, terrorist associates, and cases filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Srinagar Police previously carried out thorough searches in many locations throughout the city.

According to a police release, Srinagar Police conducted searches at the residences of 63 persons. The searches were conducted as per due legal procedures in presence of Executive Magistrate and independent witnesses under the supervision of officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The searches were conducted to seize arms, documents, digital devices, etc., with the objective of evidence collection and intelligence gathering to detect and prevent any conspiracy or terrorist activity against the security of the nation.

Pahalgam attack also affects Jammu tourism

Meanwhile, Rakesh Wazir, President of the Hotel and Restaurant Association in Katra, on Monday said that the deadly Pahalgam terror attack has also “significantly” affected tourist arrivals and bookings in the Union Territory of Jammu. According to him, at least 35% of reservations have been canceled.

Wazir told news agency that the terror attack in Pahalgam has had a huge impact on the entire bookings. Bookings are getting cancelled continuously. As per our assessment, about 35 to 37 per cent of bookings have been cancelled so far. The number of people attending the yatra has dropped from 45,000 to just 20,000 to 22,000.
