After Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Liger’, Chiyan Vikram’s recently released film ‘Cobra’ has become a complete flop at the box office.

South films may be trending among Bollywood boycott trends, but if the story is not strong then no film is liked by the audience. Ram Charan and Kartikeya 2-star Nikhil Siddharth had also said this recently.

The audience neither saw the power in ‘Cobra’ nor liked the expensive budget ‘Liger’. In both, these films of the South did not succeed in impressing the people.

It is understood about Liger that it has the cooperation of Bollywood people, due to which people boycotted it, but it is not the case with Cobra at all.

Not only movie lovers but also cricket lovers were eagerly waiting for ‘Cobra’ and many cricketers wrote posts on Twitter about it.

Because, they had seen a glimpse of Irfan Pathan in the trailer of the film, but after the release, negative posts from people came for it.

This has completely ruined the hopes of cricket lovers. The film has received negative reactions from critics and audiences alike.

As a result, the film did not earn big at the box office collection and on the fourth day, Cobra hardly added any money to its total collection.

Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra, directed by Ajay Gyanmuthu, was released in theaters on 31 August amidst huge fanfare.

The film had a bang at the box office. Trade analyst Manobala Vijaybalan revealed that Cobra managed to earn just Rs 13.67 crore on Day 4 on 3rd September.

His tweet read, ‘#Cobra TN Box Office Showing No Signs Of Growth Day 1 – 9.28 Cr Day 2 – 2.56 Cr Day 3 – 1.83 Cr Total – 13.67 Cr Only a miracle can save the film.’

Cobra, directed by Ajay Gyanmuthu, is Chiyaan Vikram’s first release in theaters in three years. He saw the first show of the film with his son Dhruv and the team of Cobra.

Apart from Vikram and Irfan Pathan, the film also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Miranalini Ravi, KS Ravikumar, and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles.

AR Rahman composed the music for the film. Another important aspect is that cricketer Irfan Pathan, who made his debut as an actor in Tamil cinema with this film, plays the role of an investigating officer.

He remained frozen on the cricket field for a long time but his debut film on the screen flopped.
