IPL 2022 MI vs KKR: Sharma Was Not Happy With The Batsmen

IPL 2022 MI vs KKR: Captain Rohit Sharma’s reaction after the defeat, told the poor performance of the batsmen as the reason for the defeat.

Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma was not happy with the performance of his batsmen after the defeat against Kolkata.

In the match against Kolkata, the team failed to achieve the target of 166 runs and had to face defeat by a huge margin of 52 runs.

IPL 2022 MI vs KKR: Barring Ishan Kishan from Mumbai, only two batsmen could touch the double-figure. Kishan played an innings of 51 runs.

In this way, Mumbai had to lose this match by 52 runs. This match was memorable for Jasprit Bumrah and he took five wickets for 10 runs but Mumbai’s poor batting could not win the team.

After the match, team captain Rohit Sharma said, “The bowling unit put in a good effort, especially Jasprit Bumrah but the batsmen let us down.”

We are playing our fourth match on this pitch and we know the conditions here. We hope the seam bowlers will get some help from the pitch.”

“We didn’t get partnerships and you need partnerships while chasing a target like this.”

“I don’t think Mumbai could have restricted Kolkata to a lower total. They had scored 100 runs in 10-11 overs.”

Looking at that we made a great comeback. The entire bowling unit with Bumrah did a great job but the batsmen were disappointed.

This was the 9th defeat of the season for the team led by Rohit Sharma. While this was the 5th win for Kolkata and its hope of reaching the playoffs is still alive.

Now Mumbai’s next match will be with Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede ground on Thursday, while Kolkata will play their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.
