IPL 2020: Record 33 Sixes In The Chennai vs Rajasthan Match

IPL 2020: Record 33 sixes in the Chennai vs Rajasthan match played in Sharjah. The 13th season of the Indian Premier League finally fulfilled the desire of all the viewers of the world sitting at home. Sixes got a glimpse of Chennai captain Mahendra Singh’s bat. The batsman hit three consecutive sixes in the last over in the match played against Rajasthan. One of these sixes was so long that the ball fell outside the stadium.

A strong match was witnessed in IPL on Tuesday. Rajasthan scored the biggest score in UAE against Chennai team. On the basis of Sanju Samson’s 19-ball Atishi half-century and the captain’s 69, the team laid a strong foundation for a big score. Joffra Archer finally scored 27 runs off 8 balls to take the score to 216 runs.

Chasing a mammoth target, Chennai returned to the match on the basis of Faf du Plessis 37-ball Atishi 72. In 20 overs, Chennai were able to score 200 runs for 6 wickets but in the end, Dhoni’s three consecutive sixes attracted the fans.

Dhoni’s long six reached the stadium

In the last over of the Chennai batting, Dhoni showed his old complexion. Strong sixes off his bat off the third, fourth and fifth balls of the 20th over. Out of this, the six hit on the fourth ball was so long that it crossed the stadium and crashed into a car parked on the road. A man standing near the car kept the ball with him. The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) saw a record 33 sixes in the match played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday. Earlier in an IPL match, six matches were played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the year 2018.

In this match also the batsmen had hit 33 sixes. In the match of Rajasthan and Chennai, Sanju Samson of Rajasthan hit the maximum nine sixes. In addition, Faf du Plessis had seven Steve Smith, Joffra Archer, and Shane Watson four-sixes each. Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit three and Sam Curran hit two sixes.

In the match, Samson smashed 74 runs from 32 balls for Rajasthan. He hit Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla for sixes. Fast bowler Archer hit four sixes off four balls in the final over of the team’s innings. The final over was with Ngidi and he hit four sixes in the first two balls, which included sixes off two no balls.

In such a situation, Nagidi took 30 runs in the last over. Captain Steve Smith hit an innings of 69 runs. Samson and Smith shared a partnership of 121 runs in just 56 balls for the second wicket.
