BCCI announces annual agreement of Indian women cricket team, Shefali Verma gets the promotion

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the annual contract for the players of the Women’s Senior Cricket Team on Wednesday evening.

Shefali Verma, the young opener who has been batting on behalf of the board, has been promoted by giving place in Grade B.

The number of players being given contracts for this year has been reduced. Earlier it was 22, which has been reduced to 19.

Sensational young batsman Shefali Verma was on Wednesday promoted to the Grade-B promotion in the annual contract released from the BCCI but reduced the number of contracted players from 22 to 19.

There are three categories in the annual contract: three players in A, 10 in B, and 6 players in C.

Grade-A players will get Rs 50 lakh annually, including Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Poonam Yadav.

Grade-B players will get Rs 30 lakh per annum, of which 10 are players.

Grade-C players will get Rs 10 lakh per annum. The contract is effective from October 2020 to September 2021.

Grade-A: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Poonam Yadav.

Grade-B: Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Deepti Sharma, Poonam Raut, Rajeshwari Gaikwad, Shefali Verma, Radha Yadav, Shikha Pandey, Tania Bhatia, Jemimah Rodriguez.

Grade-C: Mansi Joshi, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar, Harleen Deol, Priya Poonia, Richa Ghosh.

The BCCI announced the agreement of the Indian men’s cricket team players on the 15th of last month. A total of 28 players were given a place in it.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jaspreet Bumrah were ranked only in Grade A+. Players in the A-Plus category will get Rs 7-7 crore, while players with A grade are going to get Rs 5 crore.

At the same time, the players of Grade B are going to get 3 crores and the players who join Grade C are going to get one crore rupees. There are 3 players in A + grade, 10 in A grade, 5 in B grade, and 10 in C grade.
