Income Tax raids on the premises of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh: income Tax Raid.

On Friday, the Income Tax Department raided several places of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in Mumbai, Nagpur, and Pune.

Deshmukh has already been a target of the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The action of the Income Tax Department is still going on.

Anil Deshmukh is on the target of CBI and ED in the case of recovery of Rs 100 crore. The CBI is investigating his corruption in the direction of the Mumbai High Court.

The Enforcement Directorate has arrested two of his associates and has also filed a charge sheet against him in the money laundering case.

Deshmukh’s personal secretary Sanjeev Palande, who was arrested on June 26, has also been suspended by the state government.

Palande has been an officer of the rank of Additional District Magistrate. Sachin Waze, the sacked API arrested in the Antilia case.

He had alleged that Sanjeev Palande was also present when Deshmukh called him to his official residence and directed him to recover Rs 100 crore per month from bars and restaurants in Mumbai.

Sachin Waze, in his statement to the ED, has said that after recovering Rs 4.7 crore from bar owners in Mumbai, he gave the amount to two of Deshmukh’s assistants.

Later this amount was transferred through hawala to some fake companies in Delhi. Those companies donated about four crore rupees to a family trust of Deshmukh.

In the case of such Benami transactions, the ED has summoned Deshmukh and his family several times for questioning, but he has been constantly shying away from the ED’s investigation.

His personal assistant Kundan Shinde and private secretary Sanjeev Palande have also been arrested in the same case.

Now with the Income Tax Department also starting the investigation of Deshmukh, his troubles seem to be increasing.
