ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Schedule of T20 World Cup to be held in Australia released, a total of 45 matches will be organized.

The schedule of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 was announced on Friday. It is to be held in Australia from 16 October to 13 November.

A total of 45 matches will be played across seven venues in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Geelong, Hobart, and Perth.

Apart from Namibia, Scotland, Sri Lanka, and West Indies, other teams will play in the qualifiers before the Super-12. Four of these teams will reach the Super-12.

In the first round of the tournament, the first match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 between 2014 champions Sri Lanka and Namibia will be played at Kardinia Park in Jilong on Sunday, 16 October.

There will be two more qualifiers in Group A. Two-time champion West Indies team will also play in the first round. They are in Group B with Scotland and two other qualifiers.

Super 12 is divided into two groups.

These teams will be the winner of Group A of Round 1 and the runner-up team of Group B.

Defending champions Australia will play defending runners-up New Zealand in the first match of Super 12 at the SCG on Saturday 22 October.
