According to the information given on the website of the Indian Air Force, when an officer joins the rank and starts training, he starts getting a salary of Rs 56100 per month.

This salary is given in the last year of the training period.

After completing the training, when one gets a commission at Flying Officer rank, one gets a salary as per the pay scale of Rs. 56,100-1,77,500 in Pay Matrix Level-10. This applies to all branches.

Air Force allowances.

After joining the Air Force, one gets many allowances including transport allowance, children’s education allowance, and house rent.

Apart from this, allowances are also available according to the nature of duty and place of posting.

Such as Flying, Transport, Technical, Field Area, Special Compensatory (Hill Area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Duty, Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineer, Area and Remote Locality Allowance, etc.

Apart from this, new officers commissioned in flying and technical branches also get a flying allowance and technical allowance.

On Military Service.

After becoming an officer in the Air Force, apart from salary and allowances, one also gets military service pay of Rs 15500 per month.
