Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with J&K BJP leaders, and party organization and the political situation was discussed.

Union Home Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Shah on Friday held a meeting with members of the party’s core group from Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources said that the issues related to the organization and the political situation in the Union Territory were discussed in the meeting.

According to sources, Shah asked the leaders to make efforts to further strengthen the organization in both parts of the erstwhile state.

There is a discussion that after the completion of the voter list revision exercise released in the Union Territory, assembly elections can be held.

Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with J&K BJP leaders: However, sources have ruled out the possibility of elections this year.

Apart from J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina and Union Minister Jitendra Singh, other leaders including Devendra Singh Rana, MPs Jugal Kishor, and Shakti Raj Parihar attended the meeting.

BJP general secretary in charge of party affairs in the union territory Tarun Chugh and co-in-charge Ashish Sood also attended the meeting.

This meeting of the BJP took place on a day when senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad left the party. He hails from Jammu and Kashmir.

However, BJP sources said that the meeting was pre-determined.

BJP leaders said that after the delimitation exercise in Jammu and Kashmir, issues like political situation and party organization were discussed.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also held a meeting with Shah on Friday.

Home Minister Amit Shah has given important instructions while presiding over the security arrangements review meeting in Kashmir.

He has said that the cases registered under the Anti-Terror Act i.e. UAPA in Jammu and Kashmir will be reviewed and their investigation will be expedited.

Apart from this, the Home Minister has given instructions to the security and intelligence agencies to destroy the ecosystem of terrorism.
