Heavy rain alert in 4 districts of Tamil Nadu for next 2 days, IMD warns.

Tamil Nadu rain alert has been issued. Heavy rain has been predicted in four districts for the next two days.

Issuing an alert for rain, India Meteorological Department (IMD) Chennai Director General S Balachandran said that heavy rain has been predicted in parts of Tamil Nadu in the next two days.

While many other areas will see moderate rains.

Speaking to a news agency, Balachandran said, “For the next two days, we expect moderate rain activity at many places over Tamil Nadu.”

While heavy rain has been predicted in Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, districts.

However, he said that there is no specific warning for the fishermen for the next two days. The Northeast Monsoon has entered Tamil Nadu while the Southwest Monsoon has returned from the country.

Orange alert issued in Kerala.

The Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for October 26 in four districts of Kerala. This alert has been issued in four districts of Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, and Idukki.

According to the forecast released by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in various parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry till October 29.

On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain in Kerala and Karnataka today and tomorrow i.e. on 27 October. Along with this, there will be rain in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh on 28 and 29 October.

Farewell to the southwest monsoon.

It is noteworthy that this time the Southwest Monsoon withdrew from all parts of the country on Monday after stopping for a long time.

This is the seventh time the most delayed departure of monsoon since 1975.

The Southwest Monsoon left the country today (October 25, 2021) with a significant reduction in rainfall activity over most parts of the country, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a statement.

Simultaneously, due to north-easterly winds in the lower troposphere levels, Northeast Monsoon rains started over South Peninsular India today.

It said, “This year’s departure from the country has been the most delayed for the seventh time during 1975-2021 (on or after October 25).”
