Hearing on petitions challenging the ban on hijab begins in Karnataka High Court: Karnataka Hijab Row.

The hearing of petitions challenging the ban on hijab in educational institutions of the state has begun in the Karnataka High Court.

Earlier on February 18, Karnataka High Court senior advocate AM Dar informed the court that he had filed a fresh petition.

Keeping in mind the objective of the court, this petition has been filed on behalf of five girl students, which the court will hear today.

The case of the Hijab controversy, which started in the Udupi district of Karnataka, remains a big issue across the country.

After the girls were stopped from wearing the hijab in the school, the matter caught up to such an extent that there were protests all over the country.

Hearing on petitions challenging the ban: The hijab matter reached the political circles along with the religious issue.

Explain that in the hearing held on February 18, senior advocate Professor Ravivarma Kumar, appearing for the petitioner, made a request to the High Court, asking it to suspend the live streaming of the court proceedings.

The eyes of the whole country are fixed on the hijab controversy. Everyone is waiting for the court hearing.

In such a situation, Ravivarma Kumar argued that the case is being adversely affected due to its live streaming, which was further victimized by the Karnataka High Court.

He said that it is necessary for the people to know what is the stand of the respondents in the matter.

At the same time, the Advocate General appeared for the state in the matter.

He said that the Karnataka government is of the view that the hijab does not come under the essential practices of the religion of Islam. Further hearing of this debate has resumed today.
