It is a good thing that Congress has shown promptness in releasing its manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

The way the manifesto issued by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi was named Recruitment Vidhan Yuva Manifesto, it is clear that the party wants to attract the youth towards itself.

Congress has promised that if it comes to power, it will give 20 lakh government jobs along with mass recruitment of teachers, policemen, etc, and that too with a guarantee.

Many other promises have also been made in this manifesto, but it is clear that more emphasis is on government jobs.

No doubt, any government, should make recruitment on the vacant posts on a priority basis.

But at the same time, such efforts are also necessary so that the private sector becomes efficient and it can create maximum employment opportunities.

the Congress manifesto did not say much about this in detail, while the need of the hour is that the private sector should be the biggest source of employment opportunities.

This is necessary because government jobs are limited and governments cannot absorb all the youth in them even if they want to.

If the country could be made prosperous as expected with the help of government jobs, then don’t know when it would have been made.

In fact, this is the time to change the thinking that society and country can be taken towards prosperity only with the help of government jobs.

Anyone and at least Congress should be well aware that the prosperity that the country has achieved in recent decades is largely due to the liberalization policies through which the work of opening up the economy has been done.

It started during the time of Congress itself when Narasimha Rao was the Prime Minister and Manmohan Singh the Finance Minister.

It is ironic that the Congress leaders, especially Rahul Gandhi, are now engaged not only in stigmatizing entrepreneurs but by taking steps to open the economy.

They are also trying to explain that the Modi government is running for two-three industrialists.
