Now they will get quota in the exam NEET-2020 for MBBS and BDS admission so that they can get admission in these medical courses. This step will be applicable for the 2020-21 academic year. These seats will be from the central pool of seats for medical admission. The government has called for applications from such families.

The Union Home Ministry has sought applications from the spouse and children of the victims of terrorism for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the central pool.

In a letter sent to all the states by the Home Ministry, it has given information about allocating MBBS and BDS seats from the central pool for the spouse and children of the victims of terrorism and clarified that no separate examination was conducted.

And the selection will be on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in NEET and the necessary academic qualification. A Home Ministry official said that the children or spouses of those killed in the terrorist incident would be eligible to apply under the scheme.

The letter from the ministry said that the state governments and the administration of the Union Territories during the advertisement for the allocation of seats of MBBS and BDS from the central pool for the children and spouse of terrorism victims for the academic year 2020-21.

Promote Within 15 days of the declaration of the results of NEET-UG 2020, the administrations of the state and union territories after verification of such applications, be sure to send them to the Ministry of Home Affairs in the prescribed format.
