Google Pixel 9a price leaked before launch, expected to come in March; know what could be the features. A more subdued version of the Pixel range, the Google Pixel 9a, is about to be released. At present, there is talk that this upcoming phone will come at the same price as its previous model. According to a report by Android Headlines, its pricing in the US and Europe will be equal to the Pixel 8a, which launched in May 2024. The report states that in most parts of Europe, the pricing of the Google Pixel 9a will remain at €549 (Rs 50,200) for the 128GB model and €609 (Rs 55,700) for the 256GB model. Earlier it was also reported that the price of this phone in the US is expected to be $499 (Rs 43,400).
However, according to Android Headlines, the 128GB version of the Google Pixel 9a will be available for $679 (Rs 59,100) and the 256GB version for $809 (Rs 70,500). At a time when prices are rising everywhere, Google maintaining the same pricing for the Pixel 9a is a better move, especially with its significant redesign. Let’s take a look at its possible prices in India.
Google Pixel 9a expected price in India
At present, the pricing of the Google Pixel 9a in India has not been revealed yet, but it is expected to follow the price of the Pixel 8a. For information, let us tell you that Google Pixel 8a was launched in India at Rs 52,999 for the 128GB variant and Rs 59,999 for the 256GB variant. According to previous reports, the Google Pixel 9a will be priced in the US at $499 (roughly Rs. 43,400) for the 128GB variant and $599 (roughly Rs. 51,800) for the 256GB model. The base model is priced at the same as its predecessor, the Pixel 8a, but the high storage variant sees a hike of $40 (roughly Rs. 3,400).

If Google adopts a similar pricing strategy, the Pixel 9a could have a starting price of Rs 52,999, while the 256GB model could go up to Rs 64,000. This could lead to a difference of more than Rs 10,000 between the two storage options.
What are the expectations?
In a fresh video leak, the tipster has revealed the rumoured design of the upcoming Google Pixel 9a. This reinforces earlier reports that the Pixel 9a will adopt a sleek, flush-back design, ditching the signature bar-style camera module of previous models.
The video shows the rear of the phone, which has a flat, matte finish with the Google logo in the centre. Unlike its previous models, the camera module is subtly integrated into the body, rather than protruding out. The power button and volume rocker are on the right side of the device, while there are no buttons on the left.
While the leak did not show the front of the Pixel 9a, it is rumoured to feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a whopping 2,700 nits of peak brightness. However, the bezels could be slightly thicker than the premium Pixel 9 models.
In terms of performance, the Pixel 9a is expected to be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options will include 128GB and 256GB, both based on UFS 3.1 technology. The device will come with Android 15 and is expected to get seven years of software and security updates.
Talking about the cameras, the Pixel 9a is rumoured to have a dual-lens setup. It will have a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front-facing camera is also said to come with a 13-megapixel sensor.
