Give All Possible Support To Ex-servicemen: YK Joshi

Give all possible support to ex-servicemen, their families, Army Northern Command General Officer Commanding gave instructions.

In the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, the Northern Command of the Army, which has strengthened the health infrastructure to deal with corona infection.

Northern Command Chief Lt Gen YK Joshi has instructed its medical teams to give all possible help to the ex-servicemen, their families.

Northern Command General Officer Commanding in Chief Lt Gen YK Joshi has been given the responsibility of making the army a nodal officer after instructing the army to help the ex-servicemen.

At present, all military hospitals in Northern Command have made additional arrangements to deal with Covid.

In such a situation, it has been decided to retain the services of the retired medical personnel as well as the month of December this year, with the help of many retired personnel of the Army Medical Corps, with the creation of a Covid ward.

Now, increasing the scope of health services, preparations are also on to protect ex-servicemen from corona infection.

Medical teams of military units along with the Army Medical Corps are instructed to take action to provide health services to the families of ex-servicemen along with their families.

Ex-servicemen have also been given the phone numbers of the nodal officers created for them so that they can be contacted if needed.

Lt. Col. Abhinav Navneet, PRO of the Northern Command of the Army told Jagran that the Army has given its helpline numbers to ex-servicemen and their families through various channels.

Ex-servicemen and their families can directly interact with the nodal officers created through telephone. In such a situation, direct action is being taken on the basis of the help being sought by the ex-servicemen.

He said that at the moment Corona is doing immediate screening for the prevention of infection and providing all kinds of assistance to the military personnel till they become healthy.
