General Harpal Reached Ladakh To Strengthen The Border Roads

General Harpal reached Ladakh to strengthen the security infrastructure: Ladakh.

Lt Gen Harpal Singh, Engineer-in-Chief of the Border Roads Organization has instructed to complete the projects to strengthen the security infrastructure in Ladakh within the stipulated time frame.

Lt Gen Harpal Singh visited Ladakh to take stock of the development projects and held a meeting with the engineers of the Border Roads Organization and inquired about the work being done on the ground.

General Harpal Singh visited several remote areas and met Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur at Raj Niwas in Leh and informed him about the works of construction of roads, bridges in the border areas.

During this, the steps being taken to improve the standard of living of the local residents in the border areas were also discussed.

At present, the Border Roads Organization is doing remarkable work in the direction of strengthening the army and security forces by building roads and bridges in areas adjoining Pakistan in western Ladakh and areas adjoining China in eastern Ladakh.

In the situation arising out of the bloody conflict in Galvan, the Border Roads Organization has strengthened the army infrastructure. The organization is also engaged in building several tunnels.

In such a situation, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited Ladakh last month to take stock of the work being done by the Border Roads Organization in the region and also inaugurated development projects designed to strengthen the infrastructure.

In the very sensitive Kot Bhalwal Jail, how the matter of sending mobile phones to the terrorists by ignoring the rules and regulations has come to the fore.

Since then, the functioning of the jail administration has come under the scanner.

The use of mobile phones in Kot Bhalwal has once again done the work of breaching the security of the country.

However, in the year 2013, six mobile phone jammers were installed by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Kot Bhalwal Jail.

But these mobile phone jammers are switched off from time to time to benefit terrorists and gangsters. On Thursday also, during the police raid, the jammers in the jail were found to be switched off.
