Four Overground Workers Arrested, 10 kg IED Recovered

Four overground workers arrested, 10 kg IED recovered. Terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad’s plot to repeat the Pulwama incident failed in Kashmir.

Police on Saturday recovered a powerful IED in Pulwama, thwarting the Jaish-e-Mohammed plot to repeat the Pulwama incident.

Police have also arrested four overground workers in this connection. These four were to announce the IED blast as well as to be active in Jaish-e-Maheed.

It is noteworthy that on 14 February 2019, a local terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed Adil Dar attacked the CRPF convoy with a car loaded with explosives in Lethpora Pulwama.

In this attack, 40 CRPF personnel were killed on the spot.

Sources associated with the police said that for the past few days, continuous information was received that a new module of local terrorists was going to be activated in Jaish-e-Mohammad.

It consists of about four boys. They have got the responsibility to deploy IEDs to fly a convoy of security forces.

After carrying out this incident, these boys will become fully active in the terrorist organization. Police started monitoring suspicious elements in Pulwama and its adjoining areas.

Last night, police identified four overground workers belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammed. After this, the police, along with the Army’s 55 RR and CRPF, launched a campaign to capture them.

RR and CRPF caught three overground workers from Barpora. They have been identified as Bilal Ahmed Ganai, Firoz Ahmed, and Yawar Ahmed Dar.

Their another accomplice Waqar Ahmed Pandit was caught from nearby Talangam. Barpora is absolutely adjacent to the district headquarters of Pulwama.

Apart from this, it is also associated with Kakpora Karimabad. Jaish’s suicide terrorist who attacked Lithpora on 14 February 2018 was also from this area.

When the police questioned these four, they made many sensational revelations.

They said that they were working as an underground worker for Jaish-e-Mohammed and was now going to be fully active in the terrorist organization.

They were in constant touch with Jaish commander Zaheer Tiger, who hails from Karimabad. It was Zaheer who gave him the task of damaging the military convoy by installing IEDs.

The IED was prepared for the attack and it was to be installed at a particular place in the next two days. He said that a plan was made to loot the weapons of the soldiers who were the target of this attack.

The police searched a garden in Barpora under the guise of four underground workers of Jaish-e-Mohammed and recovered a 10 kg IED hidden there.

The police officers concerned said that if this IED is properly installed and the terrorists were successful in their plans, the Lithpora Pulwama attack would have been revived.

Currently, IEDs have been safely ruled out. Zaheer Tiger is being constantly pressurized to catch his hideout.
