Former cabinet minister Jagmohan Singh Kang campaigned against Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in Morinda on Saturday.

Simultaneously, he fielded son Yadvinder Kang as an independent candidate from Kharar.

At the same time, Congress MP Jasbir Singh Dimpa is preparing to field his brother Harpinder Singh Rajan Gill against Congress candidate and sitting MLA Ramanjit Singh Sikki from Khadoor Sahib.

Earlier he was asking for tickets for his son Updesh Gill. Dimple said that with which election symbol Rajan will fight, it will be decided on Sunday.

On the other hand, Kang alleged that Channi had misled the Congress high command and got Kharar (Mohali) light ticket to the liquor contractor.

On ED’s raid on Chief Minister’s nephew, he said that there should be a CBI inquiry into the matter. He appealed to the voters of the Chamkaur Sahib community to vote for any party, but not for Channi.

Kang told that he would try his best to defeat Channi by holding meetings in village Boormajra, Samana Kala, and Chamkaur Sahib.

It is worth mentioning that Kang was seeking a ticket from Kharar for his son Yadvinder Singh Kang, but the party has given a ticket to Vijay Sharma.

Congress is currently battling rebellion in more than a dozen seats.

Among these, Ferozepur Rural, Gurharsahai, Kharar, Bassi Pathana, Batala, Sunam, Muktsar, Khadoor Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi, Sahnewal, Samrala, Jagraon, and Shutrana are prominent.
