Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Monday raised the issue of racism: Parliament Updates.

We are from Mahatma Gandhi’s country, we cannot turn our eyes away from racism- Foreign Minister. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Monday raised the issue of racism at Oxford University.

The External Affairs Minister said, ‘We are the people of Mahatma Gandhi’s country, in such a situation one cannot steal eyes from racism. Especially from the country where a large community of India resides.

We have a strong relationship with Britain. We are keeping a close watch on every matter and we will take up this issue if needed. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm.

In the wake of Covid-19, the Foreign Minister is scheduled to address both houses today on the welfare issue of Indians living abroad, NRIs, and Person of Indian Origin (PIO).

Meanwhile, the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (Inter-Parliamentary Union, IPU), Duarte Pacheco, will remain as the guest of the Indian Parliament from March 14 to 20 to watch the proceedings of the House.

Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh has given a business notice for the repeal of the House under Rule 267 in view of the ongoing performance of farmers in the Rajya Sabha.

BJP MP Harnath Singh Yadav gave a zero-hour notice in the House. At the same time, BJP MP Ashok Bajpai has also given a zero-hour notice demanding the inclusion of the Awadhi language in the 8th list of the Constitution.
