According to the recently released list of Forbes magazine, Ronaldo, who recently left the Juventus club and joined Manchester United, has overtaken Leon Messi of Argentina in terms of earnings.

With this, he has now become the highest-paid footballer in 2021.

According to Forbes magazine, Ronaldo will earn USD 125 million (about Rs 923 crore) in the 2021-22 season while his rival Leon Messi will earn USD 110 million (about Rs 812 crore).

The total income of the top-10 grossing footballers this season stood at US$ 585 million (approximately Rs 4321 crore), up from US$ 570 million (approximately Rs 4,210 crore) last year.

Cristiano Ronaldo is part of Manchester United while Messi plays for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
