A statement issued by the Tampa Police Department said that the firing took place at around 3 a.m. Sunday outside the LIT Cigar and Martini Lounge on North Franklin Street.

It is said that there was a confrontation between two groups arguing inside the club. During that time a person started firing.

According to the police, one person died in this. These six have been injured. All the injured have been taken to the hospital. However, no arrest was made in this case till Sunday afternoon.

It is said that the person who died was a resident of California and was going to Tampa for a wedding.

Apart from this, six other injured including four men and two women, are being treated at the hospital in the area.
