According to the information, the crooks of the Bhuppi Rana gang had come to Baltana to take ransom from a hotel operator. The police had already been informed about this.

These four miscreants had come to take extortion at Hotel Relax Inn. The police team led by Zirakpur DSP Vikram Brar had reached to nab the miscreants.

During this, a miscreant and a policeman were also injured in the cross firing.

Although the police and AGTF have arrested 3 miscreants. While one of the accused has managed to escape. The miscreants have been identified as Ashish, Vishal, and Ranbir.

All the accused are residents of Barwala in Panchkula. The injured miscreant Ranbir has been admitted to the hospital by the police.

Police have also recovered weapons from the accused, in which 2 country-made pistols, 10 cartridges, and 2 shells have been found.

While the miscreants opened fire on the chest of police SI Rahul during the firing but he was wearing a bulletproof jacket, which saved his life.

Police said that the miscreants of the Bhupi Rana gang had been demanding a ransom of lakhs of rupees from the hotel owner in Baltana for several days.

The miscreants also threatened to kill him if he did not pay the money.

Hotel owner Faisal had lodged a report at Zirakpur police station on July 9, after which the police had set a trap and asked the hotel owner to come to take these miscreants for ransom to catch the gangsters.

Police looking for gangster Ankit Rana.

In the case, Zirakpur police say that gangster Ankit, a member of the Bhupi Rana gang, had demanded extortion from the hotel owner. Ankit Rana had sent these miscreants to take ransom.

The police were already present in the hotel in plain clothes. Seeing the police in the hotel, the miscreant Ranbir opened fire. In retaliatory firing by the police, Ranbir got shot in the leg.

After this these miscreants were caught. Mohali SSP Vivek Sheel Soni also reached the spot. Now the police are looking for gangster Ankit Rana.
