Firecracker Factory Accidents: A study will be conducted regarding accidents related to firecracker factory, NGT directs Tamil Nadu.

The National Green Tribunal has directed the concerned authorities in Tamil Nadu to conduct a study on the potential for accidental, occupational, and environmental hazards in relation to firecracker factory accidents.

A bench headed by NGT Chairperson Justice Adarsh ​​Kumar Goel said such a study should be conducted by the Director of Industrial Safety in coordination with the Tamil Nadu State Pollution Control Board and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) within three months and Tamil Nadu for further action.

Submit the report to the Chief Secretary. The NGT said that for this the committee can take the help of any other expert or person.

The NGT has taken this decision after perusing a report filed by an eight-member committee to ascertain the cause of the incident, the extent of damage, and necessary remedial measures in the Virudhunagar firecracker factory blast.

Firecracker Factory Accidents: The NGT said that the matter needs to be reviewed at the highest level so that action can be taken accordingly.

The NGT was hearing a case related to the Virudhunagar firecracker factory blast incident in February, in which at least 19 people were killed and 30 were injured.

During this, the NGT said that there is a need to review the possibility of accidental, occupational, and environmental hazards.

Tamil Nadu CM Stalin met Sonia and Rahul, discussed the plans and policies of the new government

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was also present on the occasion.

This was Stalin and Sonia Gandhi’s first meeting since the victory of the DMK-Congress alliance in Tamil Nadu in the April 6 assembly elections.

During the meeting, the two leaders are understood to have discussed the plans and policies of the new government in Tamil Nadu. Both Rahul Gandhi and Stalin shared the details of this meeting through Twitter.

Rahul tweeted, “Glad to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi and me, Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers MK Stalin and Durgavati Stalin.

We will continue to work closely with DMK to make the people of Tamil Nadu strong and prosperous. Stalin, on the other hand, shared photographs from his meeting with Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.
