For the time being, let us tell you, for the first time, on December 24, a toll collection of 80 crores has been done through FASTag.

Which includes about 50 lakh transactions in a day. This has been confirmed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) through one of its tweets in the past.

According to NHAI, over 220 million fast tags have been deployed so far.

Let us tell you that from January 1, the government has made it mandatory to impose FASTag on all new and old vehicles.

According to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), tolls will be deducted from vehicles that do not have FASTag.

This means if you are passing through the national highway only once, then you will be charged from both sides.

In such a situation, it is necessary that by paying double the money, it is better to have FASTag installed on your car.

Know what is FASTag: FASTag is a sticker that is placed on the windscreen of a car.

Whenever you pass through a highway, the scanners on the toll plaza scan the device from the sticker on the car through the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.

The money is deducted from your bank according to the toll prescribed for that highway.

This is quite convenient because it does not jam the toll plaza, saves your fuel and there is no need to stop the car at the toll.

You can buy FASTag from toll plazas of any national highway or from Paytm, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI, SBI, Bank of Baroda.

The government has also provided the facility to issue FastTag in a total of 22 banks. Not only this, you can buy it online from RTO, common service centers, and even petrol pumps.
