Farmers Movement Again In Dock Due To Murder Of Dalit Youth

Farmers movement again in the dock due to the murder of Dalit youth, will Singhu border be empty now: Kisan Andolan.

The brutal murder of Lakhbir Singh, a Dalit youth resident of Tarn Taran in Punjab, on the Singhu border of Delhi-Haryana on Friday morning has put the entire farmers’ movement in the dock.

The United Kisan Morcha may have distanced itself from the Nihangs by terming this barbaric incident on the Singhu border as unfortunate, but the peasant movement has suffered a great loss.

Now the questions are also arising whether the Singhu border will be cleared?

In fact, in the case of the murder of Punjab’s Dalit youth Lakhbir Singh, renowned lawyer Shashank Shekhar Jha has filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

He has demanded the vacating of the Singhu border and an early hearing of the pending petition. In such a situation, it is believed that the United Kisan Morcha is now surrounded on many fronts.

The people of Delhi-NCR are already angry with the farmers’ agitation and now Haryana and the Central Government have taken their stand on this.

The Supreme Court has also raised questions on the performance

In the Supreme Court too, despite the ban on the law in the past, farmers have questioned the protest in view of the continuation of the agitation and the problem of jam on the border of Delhi-NCR.

In the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, the Supreme Court had questioned that when the farmers have challenged the agricultural laws in the court, then why are there protests?

The Supreme Court even said that there is a ban on the implementation of agricultural laws, then what are the farmers protesting against.

These 6 reasons spoiled the image of the farmers’ movement

1. Rape of a girl from West Bengal.

A case of gang rape came to light on the Tikri border with a girl who came from Bengal to join the ongoing agitation on the Delhi-Haryana and UP borders against the three central agricultural laws.

It’s been a few months since this case. The leaders of the United Kisan Morcha have given a clarification on this, but it has tarnished their image.

2. More than one and a half dozen girls are missing.

About one and a half dozen girls are missing from the border area. Most of these have not been traced to date. Nominated reports have been filed in many cases.

The police are able to take action only on those accused, who have been brought by the protesters themselves and handed over to the police.

The situation is that people have stopped the women of the family from going to the respective areas.

3. Man burnt alive on the Delhi-Haryana border.

In June, a person was burnt alive by the people involved in the farmers’ movement in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, adjacent to Delhi.

After the fire, the victim Mukesh was brought to the General Hospital in Bahadurgarh, where Mukesh succumbed to 90 percent burns during treatment.

The situation had become such that the villagers accused the farmers of harassing them and the relatives refused to accept the dead body.

4. Attack on Police.

In June itself, the Singhu border of Delhi-Haryana was attacked by a group of protesting farmers while taking photographs of the protest site during the farmers’ agitation.

In fact, two assistant sub-inspectors of the Special Branch of Delhi Police were allegedly attacked. The incident is on June 10, in this regard an FIR has been lodged at Narela police station.

The investigation is still ongoing. Nihangs were accused of the attack, who is also said to be accused in the murder of Lakhbir Singh, a Dalit youth.

5. Red Fort Violence.

Violent farmers crossed all limits during the Kisan Tractor Parade in Delhi on 26 January. Violent farmers reached the Red Fort defying the security arrangements.

Here he put another flag next to the tricolor on the ramparts of the Red Fort. Not only this, many policemen were injured in their attacks.

6. The murder of a Dalit youth on the Singhu border.

On Friday morning at the Singhu border, people saw a dead body hanging on the barricade.

The police, who reached the information, found that there were about 14 wounds on the body including the stomach of the man, marks of swords, and spears.

In this, a case of murder has been registered against unknown Nihangs. However, one Nihang is arrested.

It is being told that Punjab’s Dalit youth Lakhbir Singh was tortured till his last breath by being stabbed with spears and after death, the bloody body was hanged on the police barricade near the main stage of the movement.

Not only this, but his bitten hand was also hung along with the dead body. The youth has been accused of sacrilege from religious texts. One Nihang Sarabjit Singh also surrendered on Friday evening.
