Al Falah University Under Radar: Chancellor Summoned Over Forgery and Terror Module Investigation

Al Falah University Under Radar: Delhi Police issues two notices to Al Falah University Chancellor over fake NAAC accreditation and suspected terror links tied to the Red Fort blast probe.

Al Falah University Under Radar: Fake NAAC accreditation

Delhi Police has intensified its investigation into the alleged fake NAAC accreditation, fraud, and possible terror links associated with Al Falah University, issuing two official notices to the institution’s Chancellor, Dr. Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui. The summons comes amid widening scrutiny following the Faridabad terror module case and recent revelations surrounding the university’s accreditation claims.

According to senior Delhi Police officials, the inquiry has reached a critical stage where the Chancellor’s testimony is essential for clarifying multiple inconsistencies detected in the university’s documentation. Investigators believe Siddiqui’s statements could provide clarity on the university’s functioning, its accreditation processes, and the involvement of several individuals currently under the scanner for suspicious activities.

The controversy erupted on November 15, when the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) filed formal complaints. Based on these complaints, Delhi Police registered two FIRs alleging forgery, misrepresentation, and fraudulent claims regarding Al Falah University’s accreditation status. The complaints alleged that the university falsely portrayed itself as NAAC-accredited, potentially misleading thousands of students and parents.

Delhi Police investigation

The investigation was subsequently handed over to the Inter-State Cell of the Delhi Police Crime Branch, which specializes in interstate criminal networks and fraud cases. As part of the probe, a team of officers visited the Al Falah Charitable Trust’s Jamia Nagar office—the organization responsible for running the university. The team remained on-site for nearly seven hours, questioning staff, reviewing digital and physical records, and seizing crucial documents believed to be linked to the alleged fake accreditation scandal.

Police sources also confirmed that the two notices sent to Chancellor Siddiqui were not limited to the accreditation fraud probe. They are also tied to the ongoing investigation into the blast near the Red Fort, which took place last week and has triggered a massive counterterrorism operation across Delhi-NCR. Early findings suggest that several suspects associated with the blast may have direct or indirect links to Al Falah University.

This potential overlap between academic misconduct and alleged extremist connections has alarmed security agencies. Investigators are now meticulously examining the university’s records, financial transactions, trust operations, and administrative approvals to determine whether institutional loopholes were exploited for illegal activities. Multiple agencies, including intelligence and counterterrorism units, are coordinating to map out possible networks and identify individuals of interest.

Officials stated that the objective is not only to uncover the extent of the fake accreditation racket but also to determine whether the institution’s environment facilitated the activities of suspects involved in the terror module. The police are also assessing whether the accused individuals misused university resources, identity documents, or administrative privileges.

Al Falah University Under Radar: Al Falah University has not released an official statement yet

Meanwhile, Al Falah University has not released an official statement regarding the notices. However, sources within the administration claim that the Chancellor is willing to cooperate with investigators and provide all necessary clarifications.

The case continues to draw national attention due to its dual nature—combining academic fraud with the potential for terrorist connections. As the investigation deepens, the Delhi Police is expected to call more officials, employees, and associated individuals for questioning.

Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty of forgery, fraud, or aiding extremist activities. The findings from the seized records are currently being analyzed, and more developments are anticipated in the coming days.
