Facebook, Google, Twitter Respite Client Data From Hong Kong

Facebook, Google, Twitter respite client data solicitations from Hong Kong Govt after China’s new Security Law. Facebook, Google, and Twitter said Monday they have stopped demands by Hong Kong’s administration or police force for data on clients, following China’s burden of clearing new security law.

Twitter and Google revealed to AFP that they also would not conform to data demands by Hong Kong experts in the short term.

China a week ago forced the security law on the fretful city of around 7.5 million individuals, prohibiting demonstrations of disruption, withdrawal, psychological oppression, and intrigue with remote powers.

The law specifies that preliminaries can be held in secret without juries, with guilty parties subject to a limit of a lifelong incarceration.
