Former England’s batsman Ian Bell has announced his retirement after the end of the domestic season. Ian Bell, who played all three formats of Test, ODI, and T20 for England, announced his retirement from professional cricket on Twitter. Bell last played an international match for England in 2015.

Bell made his international debut for England in 2004 and is now 38 years old. Bell is at number four in the list of England’s highest Test players, playing 118 Tests, he scored a total of 7727 runs, including a double century against India. The 235-run knock played against India at the Oval was the biggest innings of his Test career.

Bell said this is true when he says do you know when is the right time? Unfortunately my time is now. My hunger and enthusiasm for sports is what I love now? But my body does not meet these demands that I expect.

Bell has been part of the Ashes-winning England team five times. He played 118 Test matches for England, scored more than seven thousand runs and scored 22 centuries. Apart from this, he also had 46 half-centuries off his bat. He scored more than five thousand runs in 161 ODIs in 161 matches and scored 35 half-centuries besides four centuries. He played eight T20 matches and scored 188 runs. Here too he hit a half-century.

Meanwhile

The International Cricket Council has made several changes to the rules of the game due to the outbreak of the Corona infection. In this, the saliva used by the players to shine the ball has been completely banned. Australian player Mitch Claydon, who played for Sussex during county cricket, has been suspended for putting a sanitizer on the ball.

Australia’s experienced fast bowler Claudon has been replaced by his county cricket club Sussex. The 37-year-old bowler is accused of applying a sanitizer to shine the ball, which is under investigation. In this match played last month, he took three wickets. The England and Wales Cricket Board has initiated an investigation into the case of Claudon putting a sanitizer on the ball during the match against Middlesex.
