ED Tightens Grip On CPI (M) State Secretary’s Son In Kerala

ED tightens grip on CPI (M) state secretary’s son in Kerala gold smuggling case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has tightens grip on Binesh Kodiyeri, the son of CPI (M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, in Kerala’s gold smuggling case. The investigating agency has sought the details of the transactions related to its properties from the state registration office.

In the notice issued on September 16, the ED has said that Binesh’s immovable properties are included in his investigation. Therefore, there should be no transaction related to his immovable properties without giving any information. The ED is investigating whether these assets have been created by illegally raised funds.

Significantly, after the terrorist connection in gold smuggling came to light, it is being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as well as many other central agencies. Binesh’s name came up recently during the busting of the drugs racket in Bangalore by the NCB. The ED then issued a notice to him for questioning.

The ED had said there was a close connection between the Bengaluru drug racket and the gold smuggling accused. He has given this information in writing to the special court. In this context, screws are tightening on Binesh.

Water filled in blind school for children after rain in Telangana, state government seeks help

Due to torrential rains in many parts of the country, people are facing problems. The same situation is in Telangana, where rain water has entered the campus, Devnar School for the Blind in Telangana has appealed to the state government to look into the problem.

Ramesh, a teacher at the school, said that he faces a similar situation every year. He said that even after so much, government officials have kept their eyes closed.

About 350 blind students study in this school. Every year when it rains, water gets filled in the school and remains in the building itself. He further said that we complain about this situation every year. Even after this, nothing has been done by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to solve the problem.

Ramesh said that there is a drain just behind the school due to which whenever it rains, all the water in the drain is filled in the school premises. We appealed to the concerned authorities to take necessary steps so that the school does not face such a problem.
